Artist Statement

The things that can be found upon my portfolio are the work that I have done last year, my favorite picture from last year, the many pictures I took while using the techniques of the different camera modes, and the many Photoshop pictures I have created while using the knowledge and techniques I learned from Photoshop. I feel that I did an overall good job on my portfolio. I have posted the pictures along with the reflection to each one, making me have a very accomplished feeling towards my portfolio.
Over the course of the semester I learned how to use a camera properly to create more of professional looking picture. I also learned a lot more Photoshop skills that will greatly help me know in the future how to create a cool looking photo. Learning how to have good composition, values, emphasis, and how to use each element also helped me take better pictures. I feel that I was most successful in the self portraits. It just shows how I have really improved on my overall picture taking and knowing all the techniques in order to have a good picture. The thing that I struggled with the most would have to be the aged photo. I had accomplished the portrait very well, but it seemed like every time I saved it, the file would just corrupt. So I had many difficulties into creating the picture over many times and to save it. I could improve in my overall Photoshop skills, I feel like there are way more things I can learn from it. Some of my influences would have to be my friends and family. They push me towards my goals, and I know that they don’t have to, but to know that they do care and just want to see the best of me, makes me feel like they are my big influences. I have a lot of growth and improvement I have made this year. I greatly improved in the areas of taking a good photograph using the right camera modes and of course my Photoshop skills have extremely improver throughout the year.
My overall portfolio seems accomplished to me. I have created all the posts for my photos along with reflections. When looking at my portfolio, there can be a sense of accomplishment within it. I believe that I did a great job putting it together to show my many skills and to show where the areas where I have improved on. The artworks I have made make me feel proud that I created it just from learning all the skills we were taught this year and they will definitely be used towards my futures photos.
