Personal Metaphor

My metaphor was “I am a balloon that floats away from the crowd”. I felt that this metaphor was the best way to show and interpret my way of feeling. I chose this metaphor because I’m around a crowd of people everyday. Lately, I’ve been stressed by so many people around me that I feel like I just need to let go and be free from it. The more and more stress I go through the more and more I felt like I just kept on stretching to where I’m about to burst. I wanted to capture the feeling of me being stressed and just letting go of all stresses. I placed myself in one of the rule of thirds and it looks as if I were really floating away by placing myself at an angle. I think that my strongest focal area would have to be the trees and the crowd below. It is strong because they are the darkest area on the photo. I feel like my composition isn’t quite balanced because I don’t stand out as much as I should have, due to the focal point below me. Overall, I think that my photo could have been more unified if I were to fix the focal point on myself rather than the trees and crowd below me. The blending of my legs and arms into a balloon is what I think I did the best on, just trying to figure out how to make it seem like balloons was difficult but I think I accomplished it very well. I could have set the background of the photo a little better, the crowd and trees kind of pull away from myself, which was the total opposite of what I intended on and I would definitely change the background of the photo.

Good job on this project expressing your feeling through this metaphor. I know you were having a difficult time but pulled threw and got it done. So yay completing it!
